Please, Don’t Become a Life Coach
Is it just me or is it that more and more people are reaching ‘enlightenment’ and wanting to share all their knowledge by becoming a Life Coach to help others?
My husband and I were talking about this as he remembered an acquaintance abandoning [his] dream of becoming a film-maker to become a life coach as soon as [he] discovered 'the meaning of life'.
Don’t get me wrong, I, too, have gone through this in the past months while learning and growing, but then I realized that I'm still learning and growing and am in no way capable of helping others in this field without fully helping myself first.
As much as we all want to reach out to those who seem to be going through the same battles we have barely just gone through, sometimes it’s not about giving them all the answers, but more about lending a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen with.
In due time, with faith and an open mind, we all arrive at the summit from where we can see that anything and everything is possible. Let’s give others a helping hand up the hill, yet not carry them on our backs as we, too, struggle with the rocky path.
With much love and gratitude,
